About Us

The exterior of the Broadway Theatre showcasing its marquee and architecture.
The exterior of the Broadway Theatre showcasing its marquee and architecture.

The marquee lights above Broadway Theatre have blazed since 1924, when this Shubert Organization jewel-box first welcomed audiences hungry for spectacle. Raised several feet above its original grade in a celebrated engineering feat, the house itself is part of the story, a testament to how deeply New York will go to preserve its great stages. Art-deco bones, soaring ceiling heights, and a house that seats over 1,700 make it one of the most architecturally distinctive venues on the strip.

Recent seasons have confirmed what longtime theatergoers already know: the productions here command your full attention. The Great Gatsby filled every inch of the stage with lavish sets, intricate costumes, and a cast that earned standing ovations night after night. Guests consistently note how clean and well-maintained the house is, and the staff earns genuine praise for warmth that feels personal rather than transactional.

A word to first-timers: the box seats offer generous legroom and an intimate sightline that many regulars prefer, even with a slight angle. Pack a light jacket, because the air conditioning runs cold and the acoustics reward a quiet, comfortable audience. At a 4.7-star rating across more than 5,300 reviews, the Broadway Theatre is not simply a venue. It is the destination.

What We Offer

Every seat in the house is a front-row seat to something extraordinary. The Broadway Theatre programs full-scale Broadway productions, from sweeping musicals with cinematic set design to dramatic works that stop conversation cold. The stage is large enough to accommodate full orchestras, flying rigs, and the kind of technical ambition that makes a show feel impossible until you're watching it happen live.

Beyond individual performances, the venue is available for private and corporate events, offering one of the most iconic addresses in American entertainment as your backdrop. The box office team handles ticketing with transparency, and accessibility accommodations are built into the house design so every guest can attend comfortably.

Group sales, premium seating packages, and season programming information are available directly through Shubert.nyc. Whether you are planning a spontaneous Tuesday night or a milestone celebration, the Broadway Theatre delivers the kind of evening that earns a permanent spot in the story of your life in this city.

"Amazing that they raised this theatre up several feet! A few tips if you see a show here. 1) bring a jacket... The AC is very very cold 2) beware of the overhang... The theatre is very tall and the mezzanine blocks some views of the top of the stage if you are in the back rows of the orchestra seats"

"Wonderful history & arts at this theatre. I was able to enjoy The Great Gatsby— which was performed exquisitely. The actors were top notch & the whole set was super immersive. If I were ever visiting NYC, I’d highly recommend taking the time to watch a show. Major kudos to all the musicians and logistics stage personnel it takes to pull this masterful performance together seamlessly. If there is one thing I would criticize though, it’s actually the lack of concessions available. They do sell alcohol & soft drinks, plus candy & pringles— but nothing else. Personally, I feel adding select food items (like hot dogs or pizza) can add to the experience since people may come hungry but are not allowed to bring outside food. Regardless— check out a show!"

"What a classy and charming theater. History was dripping from this place and it tingled with the energy of past performances. Seats are a little narrow, but then again, people tended to be smaller, shorter and thinner back when it was constructed. Nonetheless, it was comfortable and it didn't take away from enjoying the show."
